Summer weddings have been in full swing, and we were so happy to capture Kristina & Joe’s July wedding. We started the day getting ready at a hotel near the venue in Grand Blanc. Kristina opened up a beautiful and thoughtful gift from her friends, family & Joe. It was full of letters from everyone in the wedding, and even some letters from heaven. Truly so heartfelt! Joe & his guys finished getting ready as well before we all headed over to the venue. We then all took off to Captains Club in Grand Blanc for their wedding.
It had been raining on & off all day. As most michiganders know, this summer has been pretty wet with all the storms we’ve been having. Thankfully, it has yet to put a damper on any of the weddings we have captured this season. Kristina & Joe’s wedding was no exception & everything played out seamlessly.
They both chose to do a heartfelt letter exchange in place of their own personal vows before the ceremony. This is what we call a “First Touch” instead of actually seeing one another. It was so intimate and sweet! We couldn’t help get all the feels when Joe started to shed some tears reading Kristina’s letter. As you will see, it was such a touching moment.
Surrounded by all of their closest friends and family, Kristina & Joe became Mr. & Mrs McKay. Their ceremony was beautiful! From there, the rain finally let up & we were able to document their photos outdoors. As you will see, their entire wedding day was so gorgeous. I just can’t get over how stunning Kristina looked in her gown. Of course, Joe looked simply dapper as well, but Kristina was radiant.
It was such an honor to be apart of your wedding day, Kristina & Joe, and I cannot wait to watch your love continue to grow through the years to come. Congratulations you two!

We were so lucky to have Katelynn as our photographer! She was truly amazing to work with! We found Katelynn through a friend who had previously booked her for her wedding. Wedding photos were really important to me and I wanted memories that we could cherish for the rest of our lives. After seeing her work, we knew that we wanted her to capture our wedding day!
