From the bitter cold at Belle Isle in Detroit to stepping back into the feels of some old Hollywood glam. These Detroit Engagement photos have all the feels & have some of my favorite images to date!!
When I met with Maddie & Tayler at their wedding consultation, we hit it off right away! After talking about their wedding day, we jumped right into their engagement photos. Passing ideas & chatting about Maddie’s vision of Detroit engagement photography, I just KNEW this engagement session was going to be nothing short of epic!
Time went on after their consult & my boyfriend had planned a romantic date night in Detroit. He told me about this new bar called the Candy Bar that he wanted to take me to. As we walked into the The Siren Hotel to get to the bar, I was just OBSESSED with my surroundings & knew right away that this would be perfect for an engagement session. I literally couldn’t shut up to him about it all night long!! 😉
Fast forward to me sharing this news with Maddie, her agreeing to the location, coordinating the wardrobe & then BAM- magic was made!! The old Hollywood glam is right up my alley. I just adored all the attention to detail in this space at The Siren Hotel. From the vintage fringe stools, to the black & white checkered hallway, I honestly could have stayed there all day. You can tell Maddie & Tayler fit in just perfectly. Maddie is absolutely stunning & her beautiful classic look just fit this space to a ‘T” & Taylers dapper nature helped it look like we were taking a step back in time. I can’t thank The Siren Hotel enough for allowing us to capture these two loves birds & being so warm & kind while we were there.
If there is any “type” of photography style I would see myself being under, it would be this. The glamorous bride who can still have fun in the snow during negative temperatures, but can also dress it up & look like she’s straight out of an old hollywood movie. Best of both worlds! 😉
We cannot wait to capture these two tying-the-knot this year! Thank you for trusting in my vision & allowing me to bring it to life. Ya’ll rock!!

I cannot imagine our special day without her. From the moment I inquired back in August of 2020, to our wedding day October 2021, Kate was with us every step of the way. We were so lucky to have Katelynn as our photographer! She was truly amazing to work with! We found Katelynn through a friend who had previously booked her for her wedding. Wedding photos were really important to me and I wanted memories that we could cherish for the rest of our lives. After seeing her work, we knew that we wanted her to capture our wedding day! She made coordinating locations and poses stress free. We had a large bridal party and were a little worried about pictures being chaotic, but Katelynn was so patient with everyone and made it look like a breeze!
